JustFund and Plenti Announce Strategic Partnership

Ensuring Continued Access to Family Law Funding for Clients.

JustFund, Australia’s leading specialist in family law finance, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Plenti, a diversified lender that has built a successful family law funding product over a number of years. This partnership strengthens JustFund’s commitment to ensuring that clients and lawyers continue to have access to funding solutions for family law matters, and supporting fair and equitable outcomes.

Plenti has provided legal funding to thousands of clients, helping them navigate the financial challenges of separation. However, as Plenti’s corporate strategy has evolved to focus on other lending sectors—including automotive, renewable energy, and personal loans—the company has made the strategic decision to step back from offering legal funding. The partnership with JustFund ensures a seamless transition for family lawyers utilising Plenti, and future clients who may require  family law financing.

Plenti will continue servicing existing family law finance loans until the end of their terms, including making payments, attending at settlement and providing their usual services to current customers. Clients who require additional funding as they approach settlement may transition to JustFund, which offers tailored financial solutions at any stage of a matter. Plenti is no longer actively offering additional funding or refinancing for loans it is currently funding.

JustFund to Assist the Family Law Market with Innovative New Product Offering

To further assist the family law market to address funding needs, JustFund will be introducing a new joint-funding product that will provide funding for both sides of a separation matter.  Both parties will be able to simultaneously apply together for a joint funding line, ensuring equitable access to legal funding and enabling both sides to secure the financial support they need. This groundbreaking initiative reflects JustFund’s commitment to fostering a collaborative model in family law, where financial solutions are accessible to all parties, promoting fairer outcomes and reducing the power imbalance often present in separation matters.

Plenti and JustFund are working closely to minimise any disruption for clients and law firms. Plenti will continue to assess current applications already received until April 14. New applications will be directed to JustFund who will take the lead in ensuring that clients can receive the necessary financial support to resolve their separation matters.
